At a PESB meeting held on December 13, 2025, Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Projects), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, was selected for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of POWERGRID. Nine candidates were interviewed before the board recommended his name; the proposal now awaits ACC approval.
