Rajasthan Reshuffles 14 IPS Officers; Sanjeev Nain Named Sikar SP, Aditya Kakde Gets Phalodi

Rajasthan has reassigned 14 IPS officers across the Jaipur Police Commissionerate, Police Headquarters and district units. Ajay Singh, a 2009-batch officer, is the new Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Jaipur. Sanjeev Nain (2013) becomes Superintendent of Police, Sikar, and Aditya Kakde (2022) takes charge as SP, Phalodi.

The Additional Commissioner (Law and Order) is one of the senior-most operational posts in the Jaipur Commissionerate, which polices the state capital. Singh moves to it from Additional Commissioner of Police (I), Jaipur. Dr Rameshwar Singh (2009), until now Deputy Inspector General in Anti-Corruption Bureau-I, Jaipur, takes over as Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime).

Four 2010-batch officers move at the headquarters level. Vikas Sharma, DIG (Personnel) at Police Headquarters, goes as DIG, SSB, Jaipur. Dr Rajiv Pawar, earlier Additional Commissioner (Law and Order), Jaipur, replaces him as DIG (Personnel). Manish Agrawal moves from SP (Rules) at Police Headquarters to SP, State Crime Records Bureau, Jaipur. Yogesh Goyal shifts from DCP (Traffic) to DCP (Crime), Jaipur.

The district changes run in a chain. Nain was DCP (Crime), Jaipur, before Sikar. Praveen Nayak Nunawat (2019), the outgoing Sikar SP, takes the DCP (Traffic) post that Goyal vacated. In Dausa, Piyush Dixit (2016) leaves for SP, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jaipur, and Kundan Kanwaria (2018) arrives from SP, Special Operations Group (SOG), Jaipur.

Satyanaam Singh (2015), SP, Phalodi, has been posted as SP, SOG, Jaipur, filling the vacancy created by Kanwaria's move. Kakde replaces him in Phalodi. He was Commandant of the 9th Battalion, Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC), Tonk, which means the charge is a move from a battalion command to a district.

Sirohi follows the same pattern. Pushpendra Singh Rathore (2016), SP, Sirohi, goes as Commandant of the 7th Battalion, RAC, Bharatpur. Ajey Singh Rathore (2022), who held that Bharatpur command, becomes the new SP of Sirohi. The two officers have effectively swapped posts.

The order covers batches from 2009 to 2022 and spans the Jaipur Commissionerate, Police Headquarters, the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Special Operations Group, the State Crime Records Bureau and the district units of Sikar, Phalodi, Dausa and Sirohi. Two RAC battalion commands, at Tonk and Bharatpur, have also been vacated.
