NBCC and NHPC Sign MoU for Pan-India Execution of Infrastructure Projects

NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India and NHPC Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the execution of NHPC’s infrastructure projects, primarily comprising buildings, structures and allied works, on a pan-India basis.

The MoU was formalised on 28th August 2026 at NHPC’s Corporate Office, Faridabad, marking a significant step towards strengthening cooperation between the two leading Navratna CPSEs for the development of modern, robust and sustainable infrastructure across the country.

The MoU was signed by Shri Deepak Kumar, General Manager (Civil), NHPC, and Shri Rajeev Kumar, Chief General Manager (Engineering), NBCC, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations. The NBCC delegation included Dr. K. P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, Sh. Anjeev Jain, Director (Finance), Dr. Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Senior ED (Finance), and senior officials from SBG Delhi-II. From NHPC, Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), Shri Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance), Shri R. S. Ranpara, Director (Personnel), and Shri R. T. Nathan, Executive Director (HR) were present.

Under the MoU, NBCC will provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services and undertake specific NHPC infrastructure projects on a deposit work basis. The scope includes design, engineering, project management, procurement, construction, quality control, installation, commissioning and statutory compliances, along with handing over of completed projects.

The partnership brings together the complementary strengths of the two organisations. While NHPC brings extensive experience in the hydropower and clean power sectors, NBCC contributes its established expertise in planning and execution of diverse infrastructure projects in accordance with government guidelines. The collaboration is expected to facilitate standardised and efficient execution of NHPC’s infrastructure projects across India, including residential blocks, residential/commercial infrastructure, office complexes and allied facilities, with emphasis on cost-effectiveness, time-efficiency and requisite quality standards.

The MoU marks another important step in strengthening inter-CPSE cooperation and creating a structured framework for delivering efficient, sustainable and future-ready infrastructure across India.
