ITDC Holds Capacity Building Programme on Cyber Security
ITDC organised a capacity building programme on cyber security in New Delhi, led by cyber security expert Prof. Amit Dubey.
India Tourism Development Corporation, a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Tourism, organised a Capacity Building Programme on Cyber Security at Hotel Samrat, New Delhi, aimed at strengthening cyber security awareness and digital competencies among employees. The initiative aligns with the Government of India's Cyber Surakshit Bharat programme.
The workshop was led by Prof. Amit Dubey, an IIT alumnus and cyber-crime investigator, who shared insights on emerging cyber threats, cyber hygiene, data protection, and cyber fraud prevention, along with case studies and practical scenarios for participants.
The programme was attended by ITDC Directors, Division Heads, and employees from various divisions. Managing Director Mugdha Sinha, IAS, said cyber security sits at the core of national security within the government's digital-India vision, describing it as a shared responsibility requiring awareness and collective commitment.
Prof. Dubey said technology alone cannot secure organisations, stressing that informed and responsible digital behaviour by every individual is essential to building a strong first line of defence against cyber threats. The programme concluded with a call for participants to adopt safe digital practices going into their daily work.
