IRSEE Officer Parikshit Mohanpuria Deputed to RVNL as GM (Electrical), Bengaluru

Parikshit Mohanpuria, presently serving as Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations) of the Bengaluru Division on South Western Railway, has been deputed to Rail Vikas Nigam Limited as General Manager (Electrical), Bengaluru, for a period of five years.

RVNL is the public sector construction arm of Indian Railways, executing electrification, doubling and new line projects across the country, including several in Karnataka tied to the Bengaluru region's rail infrastructure expansion. A General Manager (Electrical) post at RVNL typically oversees electrification and allied works for the projects under that region.

Mohanpuria moves from an operations role at the divisional level to a project-execution role at RVNL, a shift from running day-to-day train operations to overseeing infrastructure construction, within the same Bengaluru geography.

He was serving as ADRM (Operations), Bengaluru Division, South Western Railway, before this deputation.

The five-year deputation tenure is longer than the typical three-year central deputation term, giving Mohanpuria an extended run to see RVNL's Bengaluru-region electrification and construction projects through to completion.

RVNL's Bengaluru portfolio includes electrification and capacity augmentation works tied to easing congestion on one of South Western Railway's busiest sections, the kind of multi-year project a five-year GM tenure is typically structured to support.

The deputation is for five years, effective from the date Mohanpuria assumes charge at RVNL.
