In a momentous step towards transforming the urban landscape of the national capital, Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister today inaugurated several high-impact infrastructure projects, executed by NBCC (India) Limited, reaffirming the company’s pivotal role in shaping modern India. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the inauguration of the World Trade Center (WTC) at Nauroji Nagar, the GPRA Type-II Quarters at Sarojini Nagar and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Headquarters at Dwarka, all of which embody cutting-edge design, sustainability, and community-focused planning. The event also witnessed the presence of Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister for Education, Shri Tokhan Sahu, Hon’ble Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education and Development of Northeast Regional Development, Shri Harsh Malhotra, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport and Highways and Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi.

World Trade Center, Nauroji Nagar: A beacon of modern commercial infrastructure

Spanning an impressive 25 acres, the WTC is a ground-breaking re-development that is set to redefine the commercial landscape of New Delhi. Built on the site of 628 dilapidated quarters, the WTC comprises 12 state-of-the-art towers, offering approximately 34 lakh square feet of premium commercial space. The project is designed to meet the evolving needs of modern businesses, integrating advanced amenities such as high-speed elevators, integrated security systems and energy-efficient lighting.

Some of the prominent facilities include a 124 high-speed elevators, 4 escalators, energy-efficient lighting with 100% power back-up, integrated security systems, a central vacuum cleaning system, garbage chute system for waste collection, CCTV coverage, integrated building management system ensuring a seamless and secure working environment etc.

Emphasizing sustainability, WTC incorporates green building practices and eco-friendly technologies, aiming for high ratings in environmental certifications such as GRIHA-III. It also boasts facilities like zero discharge concept, 800KW solar panels at the terrace and 26 rainwater-harvesting pits of 66cum capacity for each pit. The concept of efficient water management has been incorporated with focus on water recycle and reuse. The building is equipped with efficient insulation-using double-glazed façade system in every tower, energy efficient lighting system in lobbies to reduce energy consumption, heat insulated roofs. Further adequate capacity STP has been planned along with the concept of Zero Waste Discharge.

Office owners benefit from a range of premium amenities, including ample 3-level basement and open parking space for around 8000 vehicles, dedicated conference facilities, modern cafeteria and landscaped green spaces, fostering a productive and comfortable work atmosphere.

In a remarkable display of investor confidence, NBCC has successfully sold 100% of the 32.87 lakh square feet of office space in the WTC, valued approximately at Rs. 13,400 Crore, reflecting the immense demand for premium commercial infrastructure in the capital. The Government and public sector entities have acquired over 23 lakh square feet of space, while private enterprises have contributed the remainder, further reinforcing WTC’s stature as the cornerstone of New Delhi’s commercial future.

GPRA type-II quarters, Sarojini Nagar: A model of sustainable urban living

GPRA Type-II Quarters at Sarojini Nagar represents NBCC's commitment to creating modern, sustainable, and livable urban spaces. Spread over 18.95 acres, this redevelopment project consists of 28 towers providing 2,526 residential units. These units offer the perfect blend of modern amenities and sustainable living, with features like rainwater harvesting, solar-powered waste compactors and sewage and water treatment plants.

With an emphasis on community and connectivity, the Sarojini Nagar re-development also includes a G+2 community hall, state-of-the-art security systems and green spaces, fostering a vibrant and secure environment for residents. This project exemplifies NBCC’s innovative approach to urban planning, addressing the pressing need for eco-conscious living in India’s fast-growing cities.

As part of the self-sustainable development model, the revenue generated from the WTC’s commercial space sales has been utilized not only to fund the Sarojini Nagar redevelopment but also to finance the redevelopment of seven GPRA colonies across Delhi, contributing to the larger vision of efficient land use and sustainable growth.

CBSE headquarters: A vision of educational excellence and modernity

In addition to the residential and commercial projects, the Hon'ble Prime Minister also inaugurated the new Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) executed, built by NBCC for CBSE at a cost of approximately ₹300 Crore. Located on a 3-acre plot allotted by the Delhi Development Authority, this eco-friendly campus stands as a symbol of India’s vision for modernizing educational infrastructure. With cutting-edge facilities, the CBSE Headquarters is expected to be a catalyst for the future growth of the Indian education sector.

NBCC: Driving economic growth and urban transformation

The successful execution of these projects — the World Trade Center and GPRA Type-II Quarters have created a total of 45 lakh man-days of employment, highlighting NBCC’s critical role in driving both economic growth and job creation in the country.

NBCC’s expertise in redevelopment projects, especially in transforming dilapidated colonies and underutilized land parcels, positions the company as a leader in reshaping urban India. Through its self-sustainable development model, NBCC is not only meeting the growing demand for modern infrastructure but also ensuring the efficient use of urban land, curbing encroachments and fostering a green and sustainable future.

A new era of infrastructure in Delhi

These initiatives, mark the beginning of a transformative phase for Delhi, where world-class commercial, residential and institutional infrastructure is being created to meet the needs of a growing and dynamic city. As the city embraces a future of innovation, sustainability and development, NBCC continues to be a driving force in reshaping Delhi’s infrastructure landscape and contributing to India’s journey towards becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
