Dr K Satya Babu, Principal Chief Medical Officer (PCMO) at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), has been transferred to South Coast Railway (SCoR) and posted as Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD). He is an Indian Railway Health Service (IRHS) officer.
The PCMD heads the medical department of a railway zone. The post covers the zone's railway hospitals and health units, along with the medical care of serving staff and retired railway employees.
ICF in Chennai is a production unit of Indian Railways that makes passenger coaches. As PCMO there he headed the medical set-up of the production unit.
The transfer moves him from a production unit to a zonal railway.
