Andhra Pradesh Posts 11 IAS Officers: Amrapali Kata Gets Tourism and Culture, Saurabh Gaur Moves to AP Bhavan
Andhra Pradesh posts 11 IAS officers: Amrapali Kata becomes Tourism and Culture Secretary and Saurabh Gaur goes to AP Bhavan in Delhi as OSD, an order shows.
The Andhra Pradesh government has posted 11 IAS officers in orders issued on Monday, October 12. Amrapali Kata, a 2010-batch officer who was awaiting a posting, is now Secretary to the Government in the Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture (YAT&C) Department. Saurabh Gaur, of the 2002 batch, goes to Delhi as Officer on Special Duty at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan.
Kata's posting fills a gap that opened on August 7. In a 22-officer reshuffle that day under G.O. Rt. No. 1539, the government relieved her as Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) and told her to report to the General Administration Department. Pattanshetti Ravi Subash took over APTDC. She has now returned to the same sector, this time at the secretariat level.
The department's top post changed in August. That order made Shamsher Singh Rawat Special Chief Secretary, Tourism and Culture, with additional charge of Youth Services and Sports. Kata's appointment as Secretary places a 2010-batch officer in the department he heads.
Gaur's posting is a change of scene. He held full additional charge of the Commissioner of Civil Supplies post until a March 20 order, G.O. Rt. No. 627, put K. Kanna Babu, a 2006-batch officer, in the job and relieved Gaur of that additional charge. The OSD post at AP Bhavan puts a 2002-batch officer at the state's liaison office in the capital.
The remaining nine postings fill vacancies across the state government. D. Muralidhar Reddy (2006) joins as Secretary, Tribal Welfare, relieving M.M. Nayak, who held full additional charge. Manjule Balaji Digamber (2009) is Additional Secretary, Department of Economically Weaker Sections Welfare. K. Neelakanta Reddy (2017) is transferred as Director, Youth Services, relieving S. Bharani of the additional charge.
B. Anil Kumar Reddy (2017) takes charge as Joint Secretary, Industries and MSME, in the Industries and Commerce Department. N. Tej Bharath (2018) is now Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (APSWREIS). Gedela Srinu Kumar is posted as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Swarna Gramam and Swarna Wardu. M. Vara Prasad joins as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation.
Two officers pick up extra work through full additional charge. Dr K. Srinivasulu (2014), Director, Horticulture and Sericulture, has been given the charge of Director, Agricultural Marketing. Shubham Bansal (2020), Director, Industries, has been given the charge of Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh State Finance Corporation.
The orders were issued in the name of the Governor of Andhra Pradesh through the General Administration Department and signed by the Chief Secretary.
