ACC Clears Additional Charge for S Viswanathan as Chennai Port Authority Chief
ACC approves S Viswanathan, Deputy Chairperson of Chennai Port Authority, to hold additional charge as Chairperson for six months until May 2026.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has formally approved the entrustment of additional charge of Chairperson (Joint Secretary level) of the Chennai Port Authority to S Viswanathan, who currently serves as the authority's Deputy Chairperson. The arrangement is valid for a period of six months, from December 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026. Viswanathan, a 2008-batch IAS officer belonging to the Madhya Pradesh cadre, will manage the dual responsibilities during this transitional period.
